Welcome!

Every year, speakers and attendees ask us if there’s a theme for the coming year’s Pacific Symposium. Following in the footsteps of Symposium founder and former College President Jack Miller (still an influence and inspiration as President of Pacific’s Board of Directors), we advise speakers to choose what excites and inspires them the most. Even if topics are similar, the different approaches and perspectives make for a richer and more interesting experience.

This year’s program includes wisdom from ancient physician Sun Simiao on orthopedic acupuncture, with JulieAnn Nugent-Head, and on transformation and healing, with Sabine Wilms. Exciting new innovations in the medicine, such as Dustin Dillberg’s talk on layering laser therapy with herbs and other modalities, will be plentiful. Explore how to mix the ancient and modern in classes like Jeremy Pulsifer’s course on the extraordinary vessels and electrostimulation, and Olympics practitioner David M. Hashemipour, MD, on the integration of Eastern with Western pain management. You’ll have ample opportunities for hands-on practice: Korean hand therapies; tui na for neck and shoulder pain; scalp acupressure; microcurrent with Shellie Goldstein…
