During 15 years of immersion in her family’s acupuncture needle and Chinese medicine supplies business, Eileen Yue-Ling Han, PhD, LAc, received invaluable practical experience that serves as the foundation for her work today. In 1999, Han began her medical studies and apprenticeship with the late Dr. Richard Teh-Fu Tan, the internationally renowned author and leader of the unique Balance Method. During this time, she honed her skills in internal and external medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and traumatology, as well as receiving essential training in Western medicine and practice management. Now a renowned practitioner of the Balance Method, Han delivers reliable and effective treatment for patients with a broad range of healthcare concerns.
Han is the Founder and Director of the Academy of Acupuncture, a global, higher-learning acupuncture institute that teaches practitioners the foundational and advanced techniques of the Balance Method. Her inspired and leading-edge curricula is highly regarded by acupuncturists worldwide seeking to elevate the practice and results of acupuncture for their patients. Han received her MA in Oriental Medicine from the University of East/West Medicine in Sunnyvale, CA, and her PhD in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from American Liberty University in Newport Beach, CA. She continues to supplement her formal and practical education with continuing studies in herbology and Chinese face reading to deliver a truly holistic approach to patient care.
