Tracy Gaudet

Tracy Gaudet, MD, is the Executive Director of the Veterans Health Administration’s (VHA) National Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation, charged with leading VHA’s transformation to Whole Health, an approach to healthcare that empowers and equips people to take charge of their health and live their life to the fullest. Dr. Gaudet served as Executive Director of Duke University Integrative Medicine from 2001 to 2010. Under her leadership, Duke created a state-of-the-art healthcare facility dedicated to the transformation of medicine through new models of patient-centered care. She was the founding Executive Director of the University of Arizona Program in Integrative Medicine, leading the design of the country’s first comprehensive curriculum in this new field. Dr. also co-founded the Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Gaudet received her BA degree in Psychology and Sociology from Duke University, her MD degree from Duke University, and she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and regularly teaches and writes for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A recognized leader in the transformation of healthcare, she speaks nationally in public and professional venues ranging from the National Academy of Medicine and Department of Defense to The Oprah Show. She was featured on the PBS nationally acclaimed special entitled “The New Medicine” and named by Shape magazine as one of the eleven women who shape the world. In July of 2011, Dr. Gaudet was recognized as one of the “Top 25 Women in Healthcare 2011” by Modern Healthcare. In 2013, Dr. Gaudet was featured as a Game Changer in Fortune Magazine. She was named the recipient of the 2013 Bravewell Leadership Award for her significant contributions to advancing the field of medicine. Dr. Gaudet is also the author of Body, Soul and Baby and of Consciously Female, a book on integrative medicine and women’s health.

Yvonne Farrell, DAOM, LAc.

Dr. Yvonne Farrell has been involved in helping others to restore balance in their lives for over 30 years. Author of Psycho-emotional Pain and the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, published in 2016, and her second book Acupuncture for Surviving Adversity, published in 2021, she graduated from Emperor’s College with a Master’s Degree in Chinese Medicine in 1996 and has been in private practice since 1997. She served as a faculty member and clinical supervisor at Emperor’s College for 13 years. She received her Doctoral Degree (DAOM) from Emperor’s College in 2007. Dr. Farrell has been teaching continuing education courses for several years. She is a student of Jeffrey Yuen, who has given his blessings to her to continue to teach the practice of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels and Channels (8EVC). Her courses are lively, informative, and clinically relevant. She is very passionate about medicine and enjoys sharing this through her teaching.

Poney Chiang, PhD, R.Ac, R.TCMP

Dr. Poney Chiang received a PhD in biomedical research from the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, followed by a Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. He is an adjunct professor and founder of the Integrative Acupuncture Certificate Program for the Faculty of Health at York University (Toronto). Poney is also a professor at the American Neuro-Acupuncture Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Dr. Chiang is a leading expert in peripheral neuro-anatomy of acupoints and their associated neuro-modulation needle techniques. He has been invited to lecture at Chinese medicine and biomedicine conferences and to conduct workshops in North/South America, Europe, and Australia. His current research interest involves an MRI-based study of the neuro-anatomy of acupoicents on the scalp and their relationships to cortical functional regions.

Dr. Chiang is the primary author revising Fundamentals of Chinese Acupuncture, (Ellis & Wiseman, Paradigm Publication) which is to feature original dissection and illustrations for more than 400 distinct acupoints. ave become sought-after anatomy instructors and consultants to develop dissection curriculum for Chinese medicine institutions. He was appointed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist of Ontario as a license examination writer, and as a member of the Disciplinary and Complaint committees to protect the public and ensure high professional standards for the Chinese medicine profession. Troy Lavigne has been the Director of Education for the CO-AMTA since 2015. He holds an AOS degree with honors from Boulder College of Massage Therapy. He has worked with many different Olympic Associations and in many countries. His work in sports includes the Women’s Tennis Association, Colorado Rapids Soccer team, Trek Factory Racing Olympic Mountain Bike Team, Canadian BMX World Cup Team, USA Pan/Am Mountain Bike Team, Australian World Championship Mountain Bike Team, and more. Kiiko Matsumoto, LAc, is a world-renowned acupuncturist and teacher, best known for her ability to integrate the work of Japanese masters such as Master Nagano, Master Kawai, and Dr. Manaka into a coherent and clinically effective style. She is co-director of the KINKO Psychiatric Hospital in Yokohama City, Japan, researching and treating depression using Master Nagano-style.

Dr. Heidi Lovie, DACM is a New York City based Chinese medicine practitioner and educator. Her clinical work focuses on women’s health, autoimmune conditions, and perimenopause, with particular attention to how endocrine shifts influence immune expression and long-standing patterns. Beyond her work with Hashimoto’s, she is known for integrating modern lab data, including comprehensive thyroid and hormone panels, into the diagnostic framework of Chinese medicine, using it to clarify rather than replace traditional pattern differentiation.
